Divers from Dubai found German submarine off the coast of UAE. The divers from Dubai Club videotaped and identified the German submarine U-533 sunk by the Allies in the Gulf of Oman during the World War II. The German submarine lies at a depth of 108 meters in 46 kilometers from the coast of the Emirate of Fujairah, which is a part of UAE.

Submarine U-533 class IXC/40 was launched in 1942. She was part of the group "Monsoon" ("Gruppe Monsun"), to hunt for the Allied transports in the Indian Ocean.

U-533 was sunk on Oct. 16, 1943 Royal Air Force pilot Lewis William Chapman, who at Blenheim bomber in the day patrolling the Gulf of Oman. Of the 53 members crew then managed to survive only one.
