Dubai financing of infrastructure projects in 2010, has allocated $ 2,9 billion

30% of 2010 budget authorities of Dubai allocates for the construction of the infrastructure projects. Thus, a total of 10.7 billion dirhams ($2.9 billion) out of a total budget of 29.4 billion dirhams ($8.03 billion) will be spent on the infrastructure development in the emirates.
«UAE`s infrastructure budget for 2010 is mainly intended for the development of the basic infrastructure - the constituent elements of which are roads, public transport, utilities, energy, water desalination and wastewater treatment plants» - pointed out the chief economist, Dubai International Financial Center, Dr. Nasser Saidi.
According to the MEED Projects, the total value of the planned and ongoing projects in the UAE amounted on 30 November 2009 was 3.4 trillion dirhams ($926 billion). According to Saidi, commissioning of new infrastructure projects will contribute to the economic diversification and will improve the UAE`s economy.
